About Us

Cat: "From an early age I knew I wanted to work with animals and my childhood dream career was to be a vet. 

I based my school and college subject choices on aiming for this and while my friends enjoyed their weeks off, I spent my school holidays partaking in work experience in various animal based industries such as veterinary practices, farms and boarding kennels. However, through my time in veterinary practices I realised I much preferred the nursing role. 

In 2011 I enrolled at Harper Adams University and 4 years later I gained my Bachelor of Science Honours in Veterinary Nursing. 

From 2015-2024 I worked in many veterinary practices in Stockport and Manchester, with the majority of my employment at Ashleigh Veterinary Avian and Exotic Centre. My main passions were inpatient care, nurse clinics, dentistry and grooming! We often had in animals for sedation to remove matting as they were unable to be done conscious; I loved making them look and feel much better so always put my name down for them. 

In June 2017 I welcomed my Bichon Frise puppy Pippin into my home. I decided I wanted to groom him myself so I bought a pair of second hand dog clippers, some scissors and a few blades. I spent 18 months grooming him and friend’s dogs, before deciding to start my own grooming business. I started in my dining room just building up my client base and equipment, then when I started to take off, I got my basement refurbished into a grooming salon. For years I continued to improve my work and invest in higher quality equipment and products.

In May 2025 I opened my own grooming salon in Stockport. My long term partner Jordan also quit his job to join me in the salon full time dealing with dog bathing, preparation and administration"
