My name is Cat! People sometimes get confused and think I only do cat grooming because of the business name, but nope it’s actually my name. Catherine in full!
All of them! Dogs and cats are my main clientele, but I also do rabbits and guinea pigs, plus nail clips on other small rodents. I worked in an exotic veterinary clinic for 8 years so I have alot of experience with these pets.
It means they are the only pet in the salon so when I am grooming your pet, I am solely focused on them.
Yes, as I am one to one and usually booked up in advance It’s very rare I would be able to accept an on the day appointment
That depends on what service you require, what animal you have, their breed, coat condition, and behaviour. My prices reflect the premium service I offer with the high quality products and equipment I use. If you would like to contact me, I can give you an estimate based on the above, or book in for a Meet and Treat, and I’ll assess your pet’s coat and behaviour in person.
It depends on the breed, coat condition and behaviour. Most appointments are between 1-2 hours long, but for larger dogs or challenging pets I do book longer for them.
I will certainly do my best to groom them! I have a number of clients with difficult pets and I work around their behaviour. I do also have a grooming schedule I advise for new dogs that are aggressive which I recommend sticking to for a minimum of 6 months, although it may take longer dependent on the dog. I pride myself on being patient with your pets and working with them to make it a positive experience.
I will remove matting present in your pets coat as part of a groom. Whether this is able to be brushed out depending on the level of matting and your pet’s behaviour. In the event it is unable to be brushed I will shave the matts out as it is the kindest way to remove them; I will always prioritise welfare over vanity.
I’m afraid I’m not, I have a neck tie in the bath and on the table too, but it’s for the safety of your pet- I don’t want them to jump out of the bath and hurt themselves, and same with the table. If your dog is well behaved in the bath, I rarely use the restraint, and during the groom when I take the neck tie off to groom around their neck, if they are again well behaved, it tends to stay off.
I’m not I’m afraid, however as I am 1-2-1, I only use the crate when I’m waiting for owners to pick their dog up. If the dog is clearly unhappy in the crate or you’d prefer your pet not to be crated, I take them out and hook their lead to the table instead. I can’t have them roaming free as I’m either with my next pet, or I’m trying to clean up before my next one.
In season yes as long as she is behaving normally. As I’m 1-2-1 there are no other dogs around. I cannot groom pregnant animals as any stress may could cause her to abort the litter. If you are planning to breed, I advise booking her for a groom prior to mating.
I truly hope it doesn’t come to this, however if you can let me know any problems ASAP and I will help any way I can. If within 48 hours I will fix any issues you have with the groom, within reason. Please respect that my business is just me and polite feedback/complaints will be appreciated- verbal abuse will not be tolerated and may result in a ban from my salon.
