At Cat’s Paws Pet Grooming, I am proud to provide a safe and secure environment for your pet. By making a booking with Cat’s Paws Pet Grooming you agree to the standard terms & conditions as set out below.
I reserve the right to change any part of my policy at any time.
A set time slot is booked out for your pets grooming appointment. Should you need to reschedule or cancel it, please let me know ASAP; changes to appointments must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled time. If changed within 24 hours of the appointment, this may incur a fee of up to 50% of the groom cost if I am unable to fill the slot. Appointment no shows will be charged a fee of up to 100% of the groom cost. Cats Paws Pet Grooming understands emergencies can happen and so please inform of as soon as possible.
Pricing is based on species, breed, hair length, coat condition and temperament. It also depends on their grooming schedule, ie 4/6/8/10/12 weekly appointments.
Extra charges may apply if your dog is matted, difficult to handle, has fleas, or has not been groomed within the recommended grooming schedule.
Puppy prices are only applicable to dogs under 6 months of age.
There may be occasions where additional grooming is required beyond the initial quote that couldn’t reasonably be identified or foreseen at the time of booking. I will endeavour to contact you immediately, but any additional costs shall be your responsibility and Cats Paws Pet Grooming shall not be liable for these.
All payments for extra grooming services must be paid before leaving the salon.
If under extreme circumstances payment is not made on collection, there will be a late payment fee of £10 added to the final amount.
Upon booking you have confirmed your pet is fit and healthy and up-to-date with vaccinations and parasite treatments.
Please inform Cats Paws Pet Grooming of any medical or behavioural conditions, to the best of your knowledge.
Grooming of sick/ elderly dogs is entirely at owner’s risk.
Cats Paws Pet Grooming does not take responsibility if your pet develops a reaction to any grooming products. Please inform Cats Paws Pet Grooming of any known allergies in advance, or notify of any irritations or reactions afterwards.
Grooming may expose underlying skin or health conditions that Cats Paws Pet Grooming will not be held liable for.
Dematting is simply the removal of matts. This may be by brushing out or by shaving out the matted fur/hair- the method depends upon the severity of matting and temperament of the animal.
This is entirely under the discretion of Cats Paws Pet Grooming, not you as the owner.
Under the Animal Welfare Act, Cats Paws Pet Grooming will always put animal welfare over vanity, thus if brushing will cause too much pain or discomfort for the pet, matting WILL be shaved out.
A surcharge may incur on top of the grooming price depending on the degree of matting. Pets with frequently matted/pelted coats will incur higher matting charges at each visit.
Matted coats can cause many issues, such as skin irritation and haematomas; Cats Paws Pet Grooming is not responsible for any of these issues, or veterinary costs generated by treating these issues.
As the customer you understand that parasites such as fleas can be picked up from any environment. Fleas hatch from eggs and develop in the environment; they are not transmitted from animal to animal.
If your pet is not up to date with flea treatment they risk catching a flea, whether this is in the park or in the grooming salon; Cats Paws Pet Grooming is not responsible for your pet catching fleas. The salon is treated biannually with Indorex house spray in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Pets that attend an appointment with fleas may incur a surcharge depending on the level of infestation due to the extra time needed to fumigate the salon.
Cats Paws Pet Grooming will take the upmost care to prevent and avoid injuries, however accidents can happen at any time due to working with sharp equipment and live animals.
As the owner you give permission for Cats Paws Pet Grooming to assess the nature of the injury and determine the treatment needed, whether this is first aid in the salon or veterinary treatment.
In an emergency, Cats Paws Pet Grooming will transport your pet to your pets veterinary practice as stated on their record card. In the event no veterinary practice is stated, the pet will be transported to Ashleigh Veterinary Centre in Chorlton/Sale or Albany Veterinary Clinic in Heavily.
Depending on the cause of the accident/injury, you as the owner may be liable for all veterinary costs incurred and agree to pay these bills.
Cats Paws Pet Grooming advises all pets to be fully up to date with vaccinations before entering the premises.
Unvaccinated animals are brought at your own risk and Cats Paws Pet Grooming is not liable should your pet catch an illness/disease.
Puppies are advised to wait at least 7 days after their second vaccination before having their introduction sessions.
Cats Paws Pet Grooming may use photo and video content from your pet’s groom for social media advertising purposes or entertainment.
Permission will always be obtained by the pet owner before posting.
As the pet owner you understand that you are not entitled to any financial gain generated by your pet’s content on any social media platform. My Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok channels can be accessed via the links on throughout my website.
Cats Paws Pet Grooming reserves the right to refuse service to any client or pet for any reason.
